Happy 9 month birthday!

Pictures are a little harder to take now that he is crawling.

3 days shy of his 9 month birthday Tegan finally started to crawl. It is still a slow crawl and at times a half crawl-half 1 legged scoot. But it is super cute to see him crawling down the hallway trying to catch his daddy and brother. I know soon we will be in trouble with him getting into everything though. I guess we had a good run of him sitting nicely in one place. Anyways, Tegan just wants to be a big boy these days. Most of the time he wants nothing to do with baby food and just wants to eat our food. He would be perfectly happy if we put a pile of cheerios and his sippy cup in front of him. He still loves tearing around the house in the walker chasing Easton. Tegan pretty much wants to play with anything Easton is playing with at the time- cars, train, drums. I think I have heard a few "mamamas" out of his so maybe he will say an actual mama soon!

This is a few minutes after his first crawling started.

The Christmas tree dance

Merry Mis Mas! (Christmas in Easton speak)

Hmm... I think Santa brought the bus for Tegan but a certain toddler may think differently.

This is Easton forcing a "smile" just to appease Mommy.

My little drummer boy in action.

The little reindeer with his stash and Grandma and Papa's.

Easton and I with our new toys. Easton is on his Buzz Lightyear quad and me on my new bike complete with an I-bert seat!

Auntie Ashley with her new puppy, Jager, and the boys.

I promise we are not prepping them for their mission.

But he is getting ready for college.
Christmas just gets to be more and more fun the older Easton gets. Tegan just happily watched Easton steal all of his toys. Santa (and family members) spoiled the boys rotten of course but that is the fun part. I think we need a bigger house to contain everything. Or to get rid of some other stuff. Easton is absolutely obsessed with his train set. Tegan has been loving his drum and instruments. That is when Easton lets him play with the stuff. I think the best part of Christmas was how amazed Easton was that Santa ate the cookies he left and the reindeer ate their food. He was just baffled. I love it!

Here are some pictures from back in November at our first real photo shoot. We had them taken at the Riparian Preserve by Kayleen at www.photosbykayleen.blogspot.com (in case anyone in Gilbert needs a photographer). We were very happy with how everything went. Easton is in this "No picture!" phase but with some stickers and smarties as bribery he cooperated very well. Tegan on the other hand had four teeth coming in and was only happy if being held. So he is not very smiley in the photos and is chewing on his fingers most of the time. But he still looks handsome!

Santa visit

We took the boys to see Santa last week. It went better than last year for sure! Easton did not freak out even though the little boy in front of us was screaming and clearly making Easton nervous. He willingly sat on Santa's lap and told him he wanted a choo choo train and trucks. Such a boy. Tegan did not cry but seemed to be petrified with fear. He would not move a muscle and I am not even sure he blinked the whole time. We got a very dull video and I think Santa is trying to convince Easton to stop making that horrible, scrunchy cheese face he does but now it won't upload.

Zoo Lights

I think this was a first trip to Zoo Lights for all of us. Tegan was just fascinated with all of the lights. He was happily humming to himself the whole time. Easton enjoyed it as well but he seems to like the kettle corn at these events more than anything. I highly recommend buying tickets online to save yourself from the huge line.

These two are starting to have so much fun together. I can't resist posting pictures of them all adorable in their jammies.

Happy 8 month birthday!

Here Tegan shows you clapping.

Here he is waving at the dancing Christmas tree.

This is Tegan's first Thanksgiving picture... we forgot to get the camera out all day so this is just before bed. Opps.

Tegan definitely has Easton beat in the hair department! He is weighing in at a hefty 17.2 lbs and is 28 inches long. Waving, clapping, doing his hip rocking dancing, chasing his brother all over the house in the walker. No crawling yet still thank goodness. I don't know what I am going to do when they are both all over the place so we will enjoy this while it lasts. Tegan still does not eat much. He still thinks we are trying to kill him with a spoon most days. He has weird tastes in food- spinach, beans, beef stew. Nothing I would have liked as a baby! His favorite things to do these days are playing cars with Easton and splashing around in the tub with him as well.

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin carving with Daddy!

Is there something on my head? Tegan wanted in on the carving action as well.

Hi, I'm Woody! Howdy, howdy, howdy!

Buzz Lightyear did not want to wear his jet pack.

Woody with the Woody pumpkin. His boots did not want to stay on.

Daddy was the wingman for the night.

The houses who were actually celebrating Halloween on Sunday were kind of far apart so Easton needed a ride.
